The students ...

  • are able to understand the requirements and possible solutions in the interaction of security, sensor technology and multimedia technology for an application example based on a selected technical question on cyber security
  • can design components of multi-modal systems securely using an example and carry out a security assessment
  • understand technical integration aspects and implement selected content from “Secure Systems” and “Algorithms and Data Structures”
  • can carry out an evaluation and assessment of multi-modal systems and identify residual risks
  • can recognize and reflect on challenges in teamwork
  • can present the results in a presentation and take part in a discussion
  • can understand security as a process in an ICT system and design and apply selected mechanisms

Inhalt:

  • Introduction and fundamentals of selected technical issues relating to cyber security, sensor technology and multimedia technology
  • Explanations based on application examples
  • Design concepts for secure multi-modal systems for selected examples
  • Approaches to security assessment
  • Repetition: basics of teamwork, lecture is project-oriented

Report

  • The report comprises an independent and in-depth written examination of a question from the context of the course, including and targeted critical evaluation of relevant literature, as well as the presentation of one's own work, also in comparison in a team, and the communication and evaluation of one's own results in an oral presentation and in the subsequent discussion in the team.
  • The work must be submitted in writing.
