Students who have completed this module ...

• are able to analyze a scientific question or an operational problem of a scientific nature
• can define a suitable solution from a scientific point of view and plan and organize it independently
• can procure the necessary resources such as scientific literature or software tools and familiarize themselves with them
• can use regular progress meetings to discuss their supervisor's suggestions and their own ideas
• can document their solution path as well as their results and their interpretation in writing in a Bachelor's thesis
• can assess and evaluate the results of their work and their potential consequences.
• can summarize the most important points of their Bachelor's thesis in a presentation in a colloquium and defend them in a technical discussion.

Inhalt:
The topic of the Bachelor's thesis can be derived from current research projects at the institutes or from operational problems of a scientific nature. In the colloquium, the topic of the Bachelor's thesis and the associated problems and findings should be presented in a lecture and related questions answered.
